Dear St. Francis Xavier Families,
The faculty and staff have been planning, cleaning, arranging, learning and readying their classrooms for our students' return. Your support and kind words for our teachers and staff have meant the world to them. We are so grateful for your partnership in this great mission of educating our students. Now more than ever, Catholic education matters. We all know the world has shifted into a new way of doing school, of being a community, and caring for each other.
We have met the challenges the past year presented to us because we had each other and we developed thoughtful, intentional plans to keep our community members safe. More importantly, we have a faculty and staff that care about the children and worked long hours with perseverance to overcome the obstacles of this pandemic year. I am so proud of their selflessness and commitment to the vocation of Catholic education. It is through their hard work that we kept our school open for in-person learning safely all year long. Our Summer Camp was a great success and provided much needed support for our families.
With a year's experience of teaching through a pandemic, our faculty and staff are joyful, ready and eager to help our students grow in spirit, mind and body as well as a strong, supportive community.
We could not have done worked through last year and this summer without your help. Teaching your children how to wear a face mask properly, keeping their hands away from their eyes, nose, and mouth, washing hands well, and knowing what it means to "be socially distant" helped our teachers create a safe and happy learning environment. We are grateful for your patience, understanding, and strong support.
Yours in the service of Youth,
Marianne Rozsahegyi, Principal
