Recess
Volunteering to watch students during lunch recess is a great way to earn PIP hours and be involved with your child. We need parents to help cover recess throughout the year. To sign up for a day, please look at the recess calendar link below, find an open day and click the sign up button and tell us what days you would like to do recess duty. After you sign up you will be added to the recess calendar. If a day is marked as "Day Full" we no longer need help. Please select a day that says "Need Help" or is blank. We are no longer able to have people just randomly show up for recess without signing up, this makes planning too difficult. If you show up unexpectedly on a day you are not scheduled, we will ask you to pick another day when we need help and come back that day.
So that we can plan on having the coverage we need, everyone should follow through with the days they've committed to recess duty. If you need to cancel we need a week's notice so that we can make other arrangements. For emergencies, please let us know as soon as possible. If we have repeated cancellations from the same person, they will no longer be eligible to sign up for recess duty. Ensuring the safety of students is our number one priority.
